Always a working title of Phoenix, I wanna say I wrote this song in 2005 and played around with it for a few years, recording what I still think are not great versions of the song. I don't actually think I like this song all that much, it seems too generic to me, but it has some interesting moments. I think I was listening to the Vaselines around this time, who aren't known for ballsy riffs, if you will. I will say the role of Phoenix in Bob Wire is one of the highlights of the song for me. I'm not sure how that's possible.
lyrics
Say you're from Heaven
And I'm from Hell
Say you're a demon
And I an angel
Say you slip in the wet grass
Stain your pants, and don't wanna see me again
Say you're from Phoenix
And I Arkansas
Say you're from China
And I an Englishman
Say you slip in the wet grass
Stain your pants, and don't wanna see me again
